Help please! Warning/ Hazard Light Always On
Hi everyone,
My hazard light flasher is always on and I cannot shut it off unless I disconnect it. What I mean is the lights aren't actually blinking on and off, but the switch is always lit up red and I can't seem to find a way to turn it off. The hazard lights work just fine and the signal lights work fine as well. It is only that the red light is lit up all the time. If I bang on it (gently) it will go off, but when I comeback to check on it, I find that is lit again. This just happened today. Thanks in advance 1988 190E 2.3 8 valve |

Go for it, either replace or clean the switch...

I'll try cleaning it. Is there a way of knowing if it is no good for sure? |

Yes, you can test the switch function when you remove it. Put an ohmmeter across the switch plug terminals. In the off position->infinite resistance. In the on position -> 0 resistance. There should be nothing in between those two readings.
