What is this thingy in drivers' footwell? PICTURE

Hey everyone, I seemed to have removed this a couple years ago, and now I don't know what it is or where it goes. It is a electrical box with a pivoting metal s-shaped bracket that seems to activate a circuit. But I have no clue where it goes.

Is this to activate the brake light?

Thanks for any help!

Perhaps the seatbelt warning / lamp test module?

The WW is a pump on the floor that has a bellows behind it. This doesn't even reach that far. It must be for the brake light, but I don't know how it goes. Hopefully somebody can look at their W115 and tell me.

Thank you

Well I found out what it is. It is a device that cuts the circuit to the HEATER blower motor. However, I still don't know where it goes. I would assume the rod from the vacuum pod activates it, but I don't know how it hooks up there.

Would appreciate anyone taking a loot at their car and letting me know.

THanks.

Left side of the center console above the accelerator pedal on a LHD car.

Roy posted some pics for this over on the "vintage" forum.
