500 sel tune up
hi everyone i just purchased a clean low miles 1985 500 sel. car is nice and runs decent but being that it spent most of its time on a lake erie island it only has 76k miles. it is in need of some tuning up and i have already changed oil, trans fluid, air filter, and brakes and soon to be all vacuum lines. also plan on inspecting timing chain and gears. any tips on other good things to focus on when tuning up a mid 80s w126 v8 would be appreciated...ive also got an 86 560sec that i would like to do a tuneup on as well and figured that both engines were similar in design and any tips could be applied to both when it came to the engine. thanks in advance

The secondary ignition system is a good starting place if the engine is missing or running poorly.
