Found this on e-bay while looking around for M103 items.

Any thoughts?

Seems like a desired refresh after 24 years. How good could the rubber parts be in the existing unit?

When I downloaded the directions, it looked pretty straight forward. Think of it like building a valve body on a trans...keep everything in order, clean, and do it when awake.

Only issue will be setting the chamber pressures, which is a fine balancing act of the EHA and other sensors. That tool can be purchased for ~$80. I really do not like CIS for its complexity and lackluster power allowed.

I swear I read CIS Flowtech in Alabama has a great reputation for those and they sell them balanced to the EHA.

Do not forget that potentiometer on the side of the flapper body, that carbon strip wears and probably does not help your situation. :/

Well, if I have to bother setting chamber pressures, I might as well see what they get for a rebuilt unit. Apparently they know these Jetronic systems quite well.

I really don't want to get into it and find I can't properly balance it it or determine if it is flowing properly.

I got mine rebuilt from him about 2 years ago and still running great.

I dismantled a unit from a junkyard a few years ago. It was an 86 300e with about 275k. There is only one piece of rubber gasket and some o-rings. Everything looked to be in perfect condition.

My 300e fuel dizzy has never been rebuilt, cleaned or even adjusted. It still works perfectly.

There are too many other maintanence items on the m103 to bother with (in my opinion) a bullet proof fuel distributer.

I'm getting ready to do plugs, injectors, cap, rotor, and oxygen sensor. At this mileage, they're all probably original.

Then, we'll see what it does............
