86 560 sl
my 86 560 sl idles at around 1100 rpm, now and then it drops down to 600 which is normal. When it is at 1100 the air ac compressor will not come on. When it idles at 600, the compressor does come on and works fine. anybody have this problem?

This engine has a idle/full load contact switch on the throttle butterfly. IF it doesn't close then the idle will stay aroung 1000 RPM. this would need testing when the idle is too high.
