Euro v. US-Spec W124: Possible Purchase

I'm considering two different W124 Cabriolets. One is a Euro car in the US and the other is a US-spec car. Both are priced about the same -- in the neighborhood of 10 grand -- but I suspect the Euro car is more negotiable.

I can see the European model has a different ventilation system, different speedometer, and the stance is a little lower from what I assume to be bumper height regulations. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

My immediate bias is towards the US-spec car. Is that justified for a 1994 model?

Thanks in advance for your insight into this choice.

Make sure there is nothing wonky about the title on the euro car and also if you want to use the same insurance company you always have used, that the insurance co is OK with a Euro spec car, title should have a 17 digit VIN on it not a chassis number or often certain insurance co's won't touch it. Also if there is emission testing in NY has it recently passed that instection

Euro spec

Be aware that some 1993 Cabrio has different roof construction.

All US car has wiring replaced.

As for Euro: E220 , 5 speed manual transmission is a sweet car. No need to E320
