87 260E 124 instrument panel gremlins
I had the instrument panel out to change the light bulbs to LEDs and after hooking everything back up the clock works only when the key is off and the tach works not at all. I've checked fuses and all is good there. I am stumped.
BTW, getting that instrument panel out without a telescoping wheel is a challenge. Any input would be useful. Many thanks.

Do the new LED's come on? They are polarity sensitive. Putting one in "backwards" could mess things up.

Ground problem. Check the round plug and check for loose screws on the back of the instrument panel.

BTW, the LEDs were the wrong size and I ended up putting the old bulbs back in. I will check for ground. Thanks.!
