96,97,98,and 1999 w140 ac problems

Last year I put two cans of AC stuff in,and it blowed cool.Yesterday for the first time I turned it on,and it didn't blow as cold.Do I need Freon again? How to trouble shoot AC?I'll repair if its like a $100.Other wise I'll use condenser for Transmission cooler. Also these car are now affordable,can you start a w140 forum
