Where do these parts go?

Not sure what the big round black cannister ( on front right driver side location area) is but I'm trying to tighten up vacs for my smog & found that the tubing coming out of the left side drops about 8 inches & is cut & goes no where.
I would like to connect it where it belongs & wonder if it is smog related?

Found this vacuum connection cracked. It is behind intake on passenger side.
the tubing runs across back & goes into on eof those 4 ways on back drivers side. Is it idle or smog related?
I can't find a 5mm rubber connection so I had to cut off the break & reconnect it til I find a replacement but can't find it on diagrams.

Been so busy
Smog deadline is fast approaching & still need to find a good smog tech.
