INSIDE THE BOX: W124/W201 Idle/Throttle/Cruise/ASR Control Unit!
 

Hey everyone. I was at the junkyard today with the original intention of taking a leather interior from a black on black 190E. It turned out that the interior was in far worse shape than I remembered so we just ended up picking parts off the various Mercedes.

That black on black 190E just so happened to be equipped with ASR, and thus did not use one of the two types of cruise control that I work on (10pin and 14pin, which rely on an external actuator to grab the throttle linkage)

This control unit, to my knowledge, serves the following functions:
-Idle Control
-Throttle Control
-ASR
-Cruise Control.

I could be wrong on some of these but I remember seeing some of those items named in the EPC.

Anyway I had read somewhere that these style of cruise control were still repairable. I have had a very small number of people email me about their 96+ cars cruise control not working. I've always replied with the fact that I've never worked on one and had no means of testing.

So I saw this module and grabbed it. Dont know if I'll ever get around to testing it or developing a system like I use with the 14-pin variants but I figured you guys would like to see whats..........inside the box!
