Off topic:Replace Craftsman Toolbox Locks--How?
 

The Webmaster can erase this or delete it. I am very sorry if its impertinent. But I really do love my tools as much as I love the smell of diesel fuel.
I have too many tools in there. Theres a lot of memories and happiness in those drawers and I dont want my wife or daughter fumbling through there, giving my prize ratchet to thier friend's husband to fix his lawnmower, which she did last week. He says he lost it.
I mean, where am I goin to find a 28mm socket and a flex handle Socket for $15 at a garage sale again. They can have my Visa or my checkbook or my PC or my coffee or even my PC. Please tell Stephanie and Mom--leave my tool s alone.

The people at Sears arent well versed with thier Parts System. They are usually part time retirees and kids.

The model number/serial number is on a white sticker (usually unreadable with oil stains). Go to www3.sears.com. Plug it into thier parts number locator. Their website is fantastic.it gives you a part number and a diagram and on-line ordering capability.

Most of the moderators on this site like Benzmac and Steve Brotherton are highly intelligent and can take cars apart blindfolded and re-engineer them.

You could always have a locksmith make a key for your locks, but who knows how much that might cost...

If you have the old lock - take it to a locksmith - he can re-key it. I just had a door lock re-keyed for $35.00 CDN. If you don't have the lock - measure the hole size and most locksmiths have desk or display cabinet locks that can be modified. If Sears can't help - it would be a good last shot.
