W202 sun roof drains into the rockers? ? ?
 

97 C280, On the rocker panel bottom, in the area of each jack pad, there is a 1" diameter open hole and sun roof drain hose that ends 3 inches short of the holes. The hoses let water dump into the rockers and the open holes let salt / dirt in the rocker.

Please tell me some sort of rubber plug / extension is missing, this can't be right.

you could clean area well,then caulk around hose.

Thanks, but it is worse than that. The hoses end inside the rocker about 3 inches short of the outside. There are some pictures in my service manual that show lifting points, the hole is there and no sign of the drain tube exiting the rocker.
