Timing Chain Labor cost

What is an average price to replace a timing chain in a 1989 MB 300Sel?

I expect the techs will tell you that they've replaced very few M103 chains and only because they've already snapped.

Probably in the area of $400-$600 if I had to guess. The 3 liter has a very short chain that does not make multiple turns - it is a very long lived chain.
