How do I hot wire a sunroof switch at a pick and pull
Does anyone know how to hot wire a sunroof switch at a pick and pull?
Cars there don't have a battery, so I will have to bring one. Cars there don't have keys, so I need to power up the swith directly from an external source (battery). Does anyone have a detailed explaination on hot wiring the sunroof? |
Pop the switch out of the dash and add 12vdc to it. Ground the negative to the car.

There's also backup device in the left side of the trunk hidden behind the trunk lining on many models. You use a wrench to turn it and get the sunroof open that way. This way you don't need to lug a battery in with you.

Roger what Skippy said. You will need a small (about 1/4") open end wrench if the tool is missing. Also you may have to pull the trunk liner out on that side to access.
Worst case is to dismount the motor and pull the cable with pliers to open the roof enough to access the mechanism under the headliner. |
