dismantling '93 300E headlight

Would anyone have the procedure on how to dismantle a '93 300E headlight. I started working on it but was afraid of breaking something.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I have a 94, facelift version, but I know it is similar.

Firstly you need to remove it from the car. Have you done this?

This is what I'm having problems with. Once off the car I should be OK.

Thanks

I removed my old headlamps and put in Euro's, so I this is helpful. First unplug the connectors in the back of the lamps. You will then need to remove the parking lamp units. They have a spring or tension clip on the back of them. Squeeze it and push the unit forward. Once the parking lamp units are out, you will see the screws holding the headlamp units in place. remove the screws and twist the large black or dark grey retaining clip (plastic, on the top of the headlight unit, goes through the metal frame on top) and the lamp should be free. If you have wipers, you will have to remove the blade assembly to remove the panel that supports the bottom of the headlamp assembly. Once you get into it, it will kind of lead you in the right direction.

Hope this helps.;)

More than well. Took the headlight apart, replaced the vertical adjustment screw, put it back together. As good as new.

Thank you for your help.
