I have 275,000 miles on my engine. I have been having smoking problem from exhaust. My mechanic indicated it is a ring problem. And since my engine is Euro made he does not want to tamper with engine or replace it with a rebuit engine. I am wiling to spend $5,000.00 only to replace engine but no one wants to work on this car. Do you have any suggestion?

If the engine only has 275 miles on it, sounds like it is almost new. Did you get some sort of warrenty? Was it recently rebuilt or replaced?
