1997 E320 Transmission control module
 

Does anyone know for sure if a scansoft 7.4 scanner will reset(clear codes) on a 1997 E320 Transmission control Module or would I still have to take to dealer after replacing the conductor plate ?

Yes, to carsoft and yes to the dealer...

But....If you do without the car for a few weeks you can take this route...as in post 11 and buy the $50 scanner. I heard Sears tools(mail order) one can get the multiplex version for around $100 if you cannot wait..

No, with scansoft you should be able to reset the car without going to the dealer.
