Cool Need help.

Hi I'm new here, hope this is the right forum.

I have a 2001 C320 and I need help with replacing the motor mounts.
I herd that supporting the motor by the oil pan is not a great idea.

Thanks in advance

BTW the Kleemann clk 55

Would your motor mounts be under warrenty? I find that hard to believe the engine mounts will go bad in one year.

I do think you support the engine on the oil pan but use a wood block between the pan and the jack. Raise it a little at a time.

You mean you do not like the helpful MB dealer? Why? Do they always fix your problems if you pay them? Did they pick your pocket?

They are just doing their "job." Normal!

If you let them take a look at your motor mounts, there is a higher probability that they will say "that is normal" because your car is under warranty.

Now if a car is out of warranty, Ibelieve "normal" disappears from their vocabulary.

I used a thick wood block across the oil pan. NO problems. Take you time. In my car, I had to loose the fan cowl to give more room to the lift the engine.
Good luck!
