Help with diagnostics on SD Connect

Trying to figure out what's wrong with my 1998 e320, I hooked up an SDConnect to the OBDII port and fired up Xentry, but I get a communications error between the MUX and the car. I tried both car not running and car running.

Any suggestions?

never mind,,, note to self,,, use 38 pin connector not OBDII
