I have replaced the radiator cap, and another is on order (and expansion tank) due monday. I'm returning the old ones under "warranty." Behr is the brand of expansion tank. THe brand of the THermostat is FEMI i believe?

ANd now the new (used) aux water pump is making some of the weird noises that the previous one did when it went out about 4-5 months ago!!!!

*** ALso, I think that I notice that it only begins to leak a LOT is right after I turn the car off..... ??

FWIW, I normally use Wahler thermostats. As I recall Bosch makes auxiliary water pumps. Best to use a reputable brand name. Avoid all URO parts.

The bottom of the radiator is leaking on the driver's side somewhere, as well as another hose that goes from up there down into the engine bay (covered with a metal sheath of sorts.
I am so angry because MB Elite in Newport Beach changed the thermostat and said everything would be fine after that but I needed a new coolant expansion tank.
They have never given me the time of day, but are a reputable MB auto repair that we are family friends with... I can't believe that I can't even speak to technician. GOing to a different place here in Newport Beach tomorrow am.

And the new Aux pump is making those f****** grinding/winding sounds again!?
What gives..

I'll have to double check on the brand of thermostat's they used in my car.
But the aux water pump is OEM Bosch!

David, recommend returning to MB Elite in Newport Beach if they worked on the cooling system. If the new thermostat is malfunctioning then they should replace it free-of-charge. At least that would be my expectation.

David, recommend buying a Behr radiator. It's a fairly simple DIY job. Be sure to use MB-approved coolant.
