EURO 2003 C200 KOMPRESSOR - CONSISTANT BAT/ALT WARNING
Hi All
My daughter, 17 yrs old, has her first MB. A 2003, C200 Kompressor. I am teaching her to use this website. We have searched the forum together and we are still a little unsure as to the origin of the problem. We are posting this together so she can also learn to research for herself for repair on her MB. Problem: The alternator/Battery warning comes up on the dash consistently. She has taken it to a MB Specialized shop, here in Guatemala, that is where we live. They have done repairs and changed the O2 sensor and changed out all the fluids. But the warning light keeps on coming on. She takes it to the shop, it comes out all fine, then two weeks later, the warning light comes on again. From what we have researched, it could be a battery drain, though the battery does work and she has no problems starting the car. I have seen that the seat computers could be a problem causing this issue, is that correct? Any other ideas? Any recalls that have come out in the states that MB does not get notified in a country like Guatemala? Please help, the car is in the shop and I want my daughter to get more involved in the maintenance and repairs for her car. Thanks! |
