I know Mercedes had an extensive maintance schedule, but I can't find anywhere what the frequency for changing the air in the tires is. And would that include the spare even though its not turning, or would that would be more frequeng cause of that.

If anybody can tell me what that scheduled maintance is or where to find I would really appreciate it.

TIA

Jim,

I'm concerned about my spare tire as well. I think it needs balancing, it's been causing a vibration in my trunk lid.

The vibration in your trunk lid is not the tire - it is because you are low on vacuum fluid in your door locking system which causes a pulsation in the fluid purifier that makes the lid vibrate in harmony.

Jim:

Your FSS computer should tell you this info. It is linked to the tire air pump relay, just behind passenger firewall -- 3 pin connector.

This is usually a service B notice and should be brought immediately to dealer for MB-only approved tire air.

Hope this helps...

~Paul

Ah...how stupid of me...I should have known this.

Now I'm worried...Will using non-OEM air cause corrosion in my tires?

this is getting good...

Does K&N make a cone valve stem air filter?

Imagine all the performance gains if I could get more airflow into my tires!! No more restrictive stock tire air filter to deal with.

Cap'n, you will take any oppurtunity to show off that cute little animal of yours, won't you?

I went ahead and put K&N cone filters on all of my tires. It feels like I have gained about 57.3-57.6 hp, but I have not had it on a dyno to verify yet. Also, you should see how bling bling it looks with 4 cones on the tires. I am now the envy of all the rice rockets in town!

Don't forget your spare. It'll throw off the camber ballance when you turn one way, depending if the spare is mounted valve up or valve down.
