Question Shock absorber identification?

The rear of my 77 450sl is starting to hop when I back up an incline. It was suggested that I change rear shocks. My question is. What brand of shocks do I put on? The front shocks were replace about 35,000 miles ago according to the service history I recieved when I purchased the car. The reciept showed a part cost of $51 but that was 8 years ago(the cars not been driven much). The front shocks are black but thats as much as I can tell.
Is ther a place to look on them for manufacturer name(Boge, Bilstein, KYB) before I order a mismatched set?

Thanks
jmdunn
