1988 300se rear brake stuck

The right rear brake on my car is stuck after sitting all winter. Should I rebuild it or get a new caliper? Then should I get a rebuilt one or a new one? I have ATE brakes all the way around. I can get in there release the pad from the rotor but as soon as I hit the brakes it hangs up again. thanks

zanthos37, it could be that the brake hose doesn't allow the brake fluid to backflow properly. If the brake hoses are original consider replacing them before touching the caliper.

yes they are original lines. I get some on order this weekend. OEM or should I go with braided stainless steel? thanks

My w126 I replace all calipers and brakes lines at 25 years old

zanthos37, I would opt for OEM brake lines. You may try pricing them at several MB dealers online.

You should rebuild them both. The parts are cheap, and the process is straightforward. Definitely replace the lines.
