Replacement of Fuel Injectors
I just replaced the fuel injectors on my '86 190E 2.3-16V, and have noticed a decrease in performance as measured by timing acceleration in 3rd gear.
The car appears to be slightly faster in the lower RPM ranges but definitely slower in the higher RPM ranges (up to 6500 rpm). I notice that the new injectors have a slightly different part number: Old injectors: 0 437 502 010 New Injectors: 0 437 502 047 Anyone have any comments on this? Are these the right part number?? I was wondering if the newer injectors might open later and close earlier due to stiffer (new) springs--resulting in less fuel per cycle?? Thanks Tom Elerding |
