Oil sending unit 1992 MB 600 SEL V-12

Hello, anyone know if this $20 part is a DIY? Just changed the oil and the Oil Pressure gauge has been going up and down and now it reads zero. Engine is running fine. Heard the sending unit is close to the oil filter? Thanks in advance. Bill in Ohio
