The cover to the air bag on my 1987 300 TDT is split and I have the opportunity to purchase one in good condition that came off a 1987 420 SEL.

Will this 420 SEL air bag fit without any problems into the steering wheel of my 1987 300 TDT?

FWIW to anyone else who may be courious, the answer is yes it will. I contacted R&H Motors in Owings Mills MD and Eric was able to confirm that the old and new part #s for the 420 SEL air bag and 300TDT air bag are the same.

You might consider getting one from a newer car as MB says the KNOWN "life" is only 15 years!!
