SRS light on
 

Hey, in my 1992 500E, my SRS light is on and won't go off. When i first got it, it would go on, stay on for 30 seconds, then go off and then go back on and repeat about 10 seconds later. Now it won't go off at all. Is there anything I can check out? Anything to save a trip to the shop? Thanks guys.

Due to it is a safety restraint malfunction in the system it is probably best to have a professional look at this problem , as in pulling the code and determining what component has failed. Alot of times a contact ring and brushes for the drivers air bag are ba dabout going out on these models. When repairs are done to the SRS system it is very important to observe caution this is why I recommend a professional. Just my 2 cents .:D
