Angry power windows not working

My last real problem with this car. All of my windows will not work. Console switches and door switches will not move windows. Is there an easy fix like a fuse or relay? Where should I start? Thanks

I would start by changing all the fuses pertaining to the windows. There is a list on the fuse box top. There are inexpensive. Don't just check them but, change them all.
DO the window motors make a sound?

Repo,
When i bought my car, none of the windows were working, i changed all the fuses as J.H. suggests and they all worked fine.
Give it a try.
Good Luck

Unhappy windows not working.

Motors make no noise. dome light dims like it is taking a load. Is the fuse box located by the firewall under the hood. Funny looking fuses? Where is the best place to get them?

Any good auto parts store or may be MercedesShop if you are not in a hurry...Yes they are located under the hood.

Well?????????

Repo,

What did you find wrong?

My Benz just started the same trick on the right front window. When you try to lower the window the dome lamp dims. It's drawing the power, but nobody's home. Dead window Motor?

i looked in the fuse box and found that the fuses for the windows are in tandam, that is, the front right and rear left windows use the same fuse and its the same for the other two. Question, if all but one works, is it still a fuse issue or is the motor and or switches toast. i tried the front switch and it works on one of the other windows so its either the rear switch or the motor. how can i test for the motor without having to remove one of the other ones? is there an electrical resistance test or something? ken

On my 82 300SD I have had several of the motors stop working. The problem I have had is that the bushing at the end of the motor shaft siezes with the motor shaft.
I have repaired them by disassembling the motors, which does do some damage to the motor, free the bushing from the motor shaft and work on it til it runs freely again. Basically cleaning, opening it up a few thousands of an inch and lubricating.
The motor is not made to be repaired. I have to force the bushing out and am only partly able to reseat it with a retaining clip. I get them to work, but use them as little as possible.
The only way to properly repair them is to replace the motor assembly. The assembly consists of the motor and gearbox. The cost is $100. +.
