1998 C230 ignition.
 

1998 C230 ignition key will not turn.
Battery dead.
Can not open trunk.
Need help.

There should be a black terminal block to the left and ahead of master cylinder, near the fender. ( At least on my 97 C280. ) This is Battery positive.

Open the car doors so the doors don't inadvertently lock then connect jumper cables to the terminal block / engine ground. Don't try to start the car as the wires at the block might not be large enough but turning the key on will be OK.
