280CE 1984 Euro rear Driver side window

I need a little help. On my coupe, the rear Driver side window was doing the typical moving slow, making noise, not going the whole way down thing. After searching the forums, i found a great post on how to repair. I took it all apart, and as I suspected, my bracket was bent. I straightened it, welded a couple square nuts on it, and put it back. It now moves great (not fast, but steady). But, it will still not go the whole way done. Is is suppose to???? when I watch it move, it goes to a stopping point. That is, there is a plastic bumper on one of the arms that hits the supports, and stops the window. Looking at the movement, I would say it is doing the perfect thing....but, the window is still 6" up. The passenger rear window opens completely.

If it is suppose to go the whole way down, please tell me what I am missing....

Thanks!
