W111 1962 220SEb sedan replace shift Rod lever Socket

The inserts in the shift rod lever socket ends failed. I bought 2 new lever ends withthe inserts "in-place, and need to know the best waty to install these levers over the ball-ends. Any Help? can also email: bob@rgbaum.com Thanks
