New Steering wheel W201 and AC

Hi I have seen 2phast's website. www.2phast.com and I want to do what he did on a 190E 2.3-16 1986. However, it seems that the W201 changed steering columns in 1992. Does anyone know if the 2.3-16 will accept a late model wheel like the 1997 C36? Are the splines the same? Thanks.
Also, does anyone what I need to do to put a 10P17C Nippondenso AC compressor in place of the less powerful 10P15C compressor? I need more AC power for an R134a conversion.
