Electrical problem after battery disconnect -W210

After replacing my front door window accuator on my 1997 W210, my lights will not go out on dashboard indicating mileage, clock etc....Both door courtesy lights are on continually.

Also, since disconnecting the battery my cruise control does not work. Coincidence?

I disconnect/reconnected the battery and my dash mileage lights are still on and won't turn off, after I take the key out and close the door. Both door bottom courtesy lights on as well, however the door panel is not installed yet.

Do I have to have the car reprogramed?

The trigger button that works the lamp and dash cluster is pushed by the plastic trim piece that is mounted to the door card panel.

This is it exactly. The car doesn't realize the door is closed.

Finish your work, then see what you have.

...only if they fell out of a flashlight. ;) That paraded in with the next generation of the E class.
