Unhappy Passenger seat-belt feeder failure

From the UK a big Hiya.
The Electric Seatbelt feeder arm has ceased to work on the passenger side of my 300CE. It's an 88 model.
I thought perhaps it was a fuse that had blown or a relay but on checking all that I can find there's no problem. the driver side is working fine but the passenger....???
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the wife refuses to be a passenger till its sorted so I can't drive when she's with me, or at least that's the excuse to drive she tells me.
