Cool Training ML320 garage opener

Need some suggestions on how to retrain the opener buttons on the rear view mirror to open my garage door. I've tried about every variation I can think of. I cleared the mirror buttons, cleared the opener and then retrained the hand held openers with no problem but the ML will not train. Help....

i dunno about others, but I always like to know the equipment I'm having to deal
with before making presumptions and guesses on how to perform handshaking.
did you read the manual of operations for the opener and the car? which door
opener are you using?

why not detail the steps you took so we can review them? otherwise, absent
any details, we may just be suggesting the same steps and sequences you've
already tried

It's easy to train the buttons, but you need to know what the opener requires as well. Most have rolling codes, where you need to push a button briefly on the side to put them into learn mode. Then push your cars newly trained button once or twice. Some newfangled ones, like Genie, have additional requirements.

I've never been able to get the one in mine to train properly. 2005 C240 with a 3 button mirror and a 2010 genie screw drive opener. (doesn't work with older genie on the other door either)

I was also having problems with my '97 CL500. From the Benz forum I found a video by Mercedes of Austin that shows how to program the rolling codes of you garage opener. It was a "piece of cake" after that. If you go to YouTube, I'm sure you can find it.

Yeah I think I tried that....still didn't work. I'll try again though.

Not a huge deal, have the actual opener remote sitting in the tray in the car...
