I was just using it as a comparison when you don't change oil. The M112 is damn sturdy. No doubt about that. The balancer change is far from a big job, I still have an M112 from CLK I still have to sell with a new balancer installed after the recall.

A person I know bought a similar car - E350, from some dealer - anyway fast forward - he is of the thought that "all oil is same" so he gets the cheapest jug of walmart 5w30 oil and runs it to 10,000 miles in his car.

He even commented that even jiffy lube wants to rip you off when they see a mercedes - they try to upsell you the new fangled synthetic oils.

I dont even want to know what his engine is like internally.

Jiffy Lube I've seen personally leave rags stuffed inside the engine, so it doesn't really surprise me.
