Driver's side window regulator on '93 300 (2.8) 124
Is it possible to separate the regulator from the motor on said model? Couple of the teeth are ground up so the window does not go up completely. I took the door panel off and found the cause, however not sure if I can replace the regulator separately from the motor. Thanks for your help.

Just look in Fastlane!
I had a similar problem with the window regulator's teeth, same window. I replaced only the regulator but, soon after the motor went. Later I found that the bad (regulator) teeth damaged the internal teeth of the original motor.
Look at the motor real close!

Thanks guys. I went to my mechanic this morning for a freon recharge and he had a complete door in the shop with the regulator inside it. I took it out, cost me $50.00. I will replace it as soon as I am off the computer. I don't forsee any problem. The motor is separate from the regulator, attached to it by 3 bolts.
Thanks, Alex |
