fan belt problem
 

hello... i need some help please... i own a 93 mercedes 300se (w140) my fan belt is loose, i tighten it up all the way but the belt is still loose, and its making my a/c compressor not work when it starts to squeak, what do i do next i can work on cars a little not much. thank you for your help benz for life for me i think.

You need a new belt tensioner.

Yes, the tensioner. Click on the Tech Info tab at the very top of this page and then navigate to your model for instructions on how to change the belt and tensioner. It's not too hard a job, but you will need the right tools.
