2009 W211 Front Lic Plate Bracket

Need to install the front plate bracket, have the bracket part number A211.817.11.178. Does anyone have any install instructions or experience? Plastic bumper cover has ~3" of dense foam backup behind it before you encounter the structural aluminum frame member. Does it use a coarse self tapping screw that grips the bumper cover only, or does it need inserts of some sort?

Have an EPC acct but cant get in right now to see if any other pieces or parts might come with the above bracket.

Not really wanting to drill the bumper cover, I attached two eyebolts to the back of the OEM mount using double nuts and zip tied it to the lower grill between bottom of bumper and air dam.

I did the same for my W211 CDI.

Car came from a no front plate state, and the LP holder was +$100 on eBay.

I centered the plate in the lower grille mesh and used two fender washers and a nut and a bolt to attach. Been on for close to a year, and I think I like it better than the factory spot now
