Last September I bought a new E 320. The drives fine and suits my driving style. It is the 4th MB we own, and still have another '89 300 SE.

My concern has to do with the automatic heating/cooling system. It has a tendency to cool too much or heat too much before it settles down, and then only after I reduce the temp settings. I keep the blower air stream away from the sensors (I assume by the ceiling light switch). It seems to me that the sensors react too severely, or the outside sheetmetal temperature affects the sensors due to poor insulation. Any ideas or suggestions? The local shop is willing to look at it, but maybe this is an old problem for this model.

The only tip I know of on this model is that the evaporator temp. sensor has had some problems with responding to temperature with the correct resistance values.

I hope this helps.
