I have a 190-5.0 (300hp) and installed remote locking using a system from Performance Products (mfg: SPAL) Bought an extra solenoid to mount in the drivers door to activate the mechanism. Works great...range of close to 50 yds. and has a
flashing LED on dash when locked only. Total cost about $65.!! with two transmitters!

My system will be out shortly and is only wires no cutting or adding of solenoid switches. It also arms and disarms the factory alarm system.
