Front seat captive floor nut / spring fastener w124
 
Hi everyone - I'm in the middle of a front seat swap and am now at wits end. Both front seats in one car have a single stuck bolt - the spring clip retainer nut broke loose and now spins. No problem, I used a hack saw blade held by a pair of vice grips for 25 minutes to cut the head off one, and will use a dremel for the other (only because I can reach it). On the other car, the bolts all came out, but now I have 2 on the first seat that will not hold the threads, they just slip and let go (yes, I am using the same bolts that came out of that car).

So - it looks like I need to replace all of these spring clip nuts in the floor of my cars. Does anyone know the part number? I'm planning on calling Mercedes tomorrow. I've searched and searched the Pelican Parts website but found no mention of these.

I've seen them at Lowes and Home Depot, should be available from an auto parts store too. Actually they call them clip nuts.

Run google 'clip nuts'

That'll be a lot easier than describing the part to a service counter.
