W210 bosh wiper blades issue

I have a 98 w210 e320 and I recently took off the stock blades and put some bosh blades on. They have this somewhat generic curved slide in design but nothing really clicks or secures them. Recently I used em and they popped off while I was driving luckily I was on a small street. Anyway is there something I'm missing with the installation of these blades normally bosche gives me no problems.

Sorry I can't answer your question. I gave up on Bosch blades since they keep changing the design and I can never find the right refills, not to mention the cost. I discovered the $4 Anco blades from Walmart work really well.

A tried a Anco blade on my 97 SL320 and found nothing latched the blade to arm. The blade was setup for arms with a small hole to click into but the SL does not have a hole. A dealer blade solved the problem and blade rubbing the edges of a pillars the Rain X blade had. I think it was ~ $32, but it FITS where the $ 25 aftermarket didn't!

When it came time to change the blade on the 97 C280, the dealer blade was ~ $ 16 when a aftermarket bound not to fit was $ 25. For 97 the W 210 and W202 used the same blades, not sure about your year. Do you have the single wiper like my cars or two? The latch shows fitment and mine had the marking
. 2
. 1
202

The SL blade had 129.

I don't know whether the 210 has the J hook wiper arm, but on my 124 when I tried a newer type moulded blade (no metal spanner thingies backing the squeegee edge) it did not seem to latch into the J hook. I drove for a few weeks like that, but was worried it would pop out of the J. Took it back to the McParts store and the guy came out and just REALLY pulled on it an it popped into place in the J hook. He pulled much harder than I dared to.

Best blades for the mono wipers are stock blades. Aero blades don't seem to work well.

The W201 has the same mono-wiper design as the W210. For my 190E I used a Valeo (SWF) blade. Happy camper here.

Used to have a Bosch Icon or similar design blade (perhaps it was a Michelin). Not a problem, gave it to my sister for her 190E when I switched to the Valeo. Still works fine on her car.

I'd think that aero blades don't work so well on a mono wiper because they become blade lifters when on the passenger side of the sweep.

I remember seeing this truck ( or a generation just prior ) in the pit area at Mid Ohio race track some years ago. ( Yes, the wipers went round and round )

However this truck is just too weird.
