In your case, the coolant pump will appear to be dry, but there is a "weep" hole on the coolant pump that is not visible when you are looking at the top of the engine. When it does leak, it will drip onto the engine block and trickle down a complicated path until it reaches your garage floor.

Other than the hose from the pump to the radiator, there isn't much else to look for at that location...sorry.
