300SE/300SD front springs difference?

In the middle of a dieselectomy here in the shop...there's an OM617A from an '85 SD going into a '90 300SE that blew its' headgasket...now I'd say the diesel is a heavier lump than the M103 that's now out - so, do I need the springs from the SD?

Any and all help welcomed here with this..many thanks in advance all.

If you have the tools, just swap the springs anyways, it won't hurt

It makes sense that the heavier diesel engine requires heavier duty springs. Definitely swap the springs. I would check if the front struts are the same on the gas and diesel automobiles.

Ah, I did not realize you were in Canada.

Good replacement for the M103. The M103 LWB is a dog of a car. If everything did not work properly on mine, it would be out the door.

Don't you speak ill of the M103!

It will hear you and bad things will happen.
