What holds the hood badge
 

Alright I bought a replacement hood badge for my 126. It's the badge that goes on the grill right beneath the hood ornament. I put it in there, but it easily came off. I looked on the other side of the hood and there was nothing holding it.

I'm assuming something broke that was holding it, which is why the original one fell off. What is supposed to hold these things down?

On my W116 SD, there is a bolt that holds it on. At the same time it also attaches the top part of the grille to the hood.

Yes I noticed that there is a screw built into the hood badge, however on the other side it doesn't seem to screw into anything. Seems like the plastic that it screws into is broke, so I guess I'll just find another way.

Just went out and looked, mine has a washer and nut on the back side. Looks original to the car.

Alright thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking it had. I'll find a washer and nut to fit it.
