W126 Fuel distributor

Hello out there!
My 1990 420 SEL has been diagnosed with a bad fuel distributor. Do I need to replace the airflow throttle body as well or can I get away with getting a used fuel distributor only?
Thanks

you don't need the air flow meter also.

i would suggest buying a rebuilt f/dist instead of used. try here-

CIS Flowtech - Rebuilding Bosch Fuel Distributors & Warm-Up Regulators

dealt with him a few times and no issues. good luck, chuck.

Larry is the chap to speak with there. Pretty much the authority on Kjet/CIS. I would not waste my time, nor my money with a used fuel distributor.

+2 ... Larry Fletcher at CIS Flowtech is the man for a fuel distributor rebuild/calibration.

You don't need to send in the entire fuel plate assembly, just the distributor and EHA (black box screwed onto the side).

Don't bother with used - 75% of the time the junkyard units are bad and/or leak. It's a crapshoot that's not worth the time and effort. Larry will take care of ya...

Oh yes, I forgot about the EHA. Both of my CIS W126s have had that fail within the past few years... you really should budget a new unit into this repair.
