The question was:

Quote:
Any preferences to brand of oil filter as far as better than the rest? In the past, I used Mann. While shopping online, I've noticed that Bosch filters cost close to double? Is there a reason, are they worth it?
And the answer is:

NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

But that's just one person's opinion. "Made in INDIA" means quality control problems to me. It may not mean that to anyone else. But the true fact should be available for people to make that choice for themselves.

Oil Filters

I normally use Mann or Knecht filters from Fastlane. In a pinch once I bought a Bosch from the local Auto Zone. When I took the used Bosch off, it spilled oil all over the top of my engine (M103). The other filters didn't do that so I assumed the Bosch was missing an anti-drainback valve or something and I vowed to never use one again.
