Evaluate my tire wear? Does alignment look ok?
I am diagnosing a shudder when making a hard turn, and I wanted to start with tires...
I believe its time to replace right? The wear indicators are looking low... And I also found a bulge on one of the sidewalls. These have 42k miles on them. Does my alignment look ok or would you recommend I get another done? From treadwear, you're about ready. With the sidewall bulge, you're past ready for new tires. The wear pattern looks like what I get with the front end aligned to stock spec, however I drive in such a manner as to wear out tires in 20,000 miles. An alignment check is never a bad idea.

Will get both of them replaced tomorrow and hopefully that resolves the weird wobble on hard lock...

The D, W, and S are cut to different depths indicating when they have worn past their suitability for said conditions.

For the distance travelled the alignment probably isn't too too far out. There might be a little bit of play somewhere throwing the camber out - but I guess you might turn the steering wheel before letting the wheels roll slightly?
Tyre 1 could have been over inflated All nitpicking comments for the distance gone - well done - you got your money out of them. |
my experince with mercedes,is to let dealer do alignment.how are your bearings?

Years ago, I had a vibration when turning right on our old 87 300TD.
Replacing the motor mounts finally solved the issue. Jim |
